The Model Z pressure transducers are rugged industrial sensors constructed from 17-4 PH stainless steel (wetted material for ranges up to 2,000 psi) or 15-5 PH stainless steel (wetted material for ranges 2,000 psi and greater). Designed for demanding applications requiring high accuracy and measurement stability, these transducers cover pressure ranges from 0.5 psi to 60,000 psi and utilize complete four-arm 350 ohm strain gauge bridges.
Available with multiple configuration options including extended temperature operation, various electrical terminations, wetted materials, and high-level outputs (5 Vdc, 10 Vdc, or 4 mA to 20 mA). Most high-level output models feature standard internal shunt calibration circuits for simplified sensor-to-data system setup. An optional internal signature calibration chip enables automatic configuration with the Model SC four-or-twelve channel digital indicator.
The strain gauge-based Model Z design references the primary pressure sensing diaphragm to the atmosphere, maintaining stable zero regardless of environmental conditions. The absolute version features an all-welded, vacuum reference chamber for exceptional long-term stability.
